The Center Dent is made in the USA by Dobbs of genuine Shantung Panama straw with a firm finish. It has a 2 1/8" snap brim and a 4 1/4" (at front crease) regular oval crown. Features include a 1 1/2" navy grosgrain ribbon band and a bonded leather sweatband.

Nice look+ a precise fit
The description, Genuine Shantung Panama, is really pretty silly. Shantung was a process developed in Japan to make a toquilla looking straw from a high tech paper. Genuine Panama hats, of course, are made in Ecuador. That said, this is a beautiful hat and stands on its own. It's far stiffer than any of the shantung or toquilla straw hats I own and I have many.
